Online Experience at EHPS 2026

EHPS 2026 will offer a hybrid format with opportunities for online participation. To support attendees in deciding whether to join in person or online, we provide the following information in advance:

• Online presenters will be able to deliver their presentations live.

• Online attendees will be able to follow sessions in real time through streamed oral sessions.

• Due to the nature of live conference discussions, full interactivity (e.g., participating in Q&A during on-site oral sessions) may be limited.

• Clear guidance for session chairs will be provided to optimise the inclusion of online presenters.

• Volunteers and room staff will receive enhanced training to support hybrid sessions.

• More detailed instructions for online presenters, online attendees, and session chairs will be published closer to the conference, once room layouts and technical arrangements have been finalised.

Catering Information for EHPS 2026

We aim to accommodate a range of dietary needs while acknowledging the constraints of the conference venue. To help attendees make an informed decision before registering, we provide early information about catering. The venue can reliably provide:

• Vegetarian and vegan options

• Gluten-free options

• Dairy-free options

While every effort will be made to minimise risk, complete avoidance of cross-contamination cannot always be guaranteed due to the hotel-based catering environment.
Attendees with medically required diets (e.g., coeliac disease, severe allergies) are encouraged to contact the LOC in advance so we can liaise with the catering team.
A catering overview will be available on the website before registration opens.

Sustainability at EHPS 2026

EHPS 2026 continues to prioritise sustainability and reducing unnecessary waste:

• No printed conference handbook will be produced. All programme information will be available via the EHPS conference app.
• Conference bags will be optional. Attendees may choose during registration whether they wish to receive a bag, helping us reduce waste while still offering this item to those who find it useful.
• Further sustainability initiatives, including catering and materials management, will be announced as they are confirmed.

The Local Organising Committee of the EHPS 2026 Conference in Cyprus is aware that recent developments and ongoing conflict in the Middle East may raise questions or concerns for some colleagues planning to attend the conference.

 We would like to reassure all prospective participants that we are closely monitoring the situation and remain in regular contact with relevant authorities and institutional partners. At present, the situation in Cyprus remains stable, and there are no indications affecting the safety or organisation of the conference.

 The safety and wellbeing of all participants is of the utmost importance to us. We will continue to monitor developments carefully and will provide updates should any relevant information arise.

 We also understand that some colleagues may have individual concerns. Anyone wishing to discuss these or seek further information is very welcome to contact the Local Organising Committee directly, and we will do our best to respond and provide reassurance where possible.

 We very much look forward to welcoming the EHPS community to Cyprus for what we hope will be a productive, engaging, and supportive conference.
